Rich Reinert

As a tackle designer, manufacturer's rep, guide and speaker, I have been associated with the tackle industry for over 30 years, helping to design numerous musky lures and components.

I have been fortunate to be responsible for more products, designs and presentations than anyone else in the musky industry over the past 15 years.

My passion for Musky fishing over 35 years, with 18 of those years as a full time guide, has given me a unique perspective on the sport of Musky fishing. I have been known to go to extremes to put fish in the boat.

I have been featured in In-Fisherman, Outdoor Life, and Midwest Outdoors. I have had over 1,500 Muskies in my boat over the years and, as a result of that success on the water, I have had the opportunity to speak on many radio programs as well as at numerous sport shows.

10:00 - 11:00 STEPHAN MARAIS

STEPHAN MARAIS

I was born and raised in a small town on the north-east part of South Africa. My grandfather always owned a fishing tackle and firearm store and because of that I fished since I could remember. Fished mostly for bass, panfish, carp and catfish. No musky or pike in South Africa. Moved to the US in 1997 and later moved to La Crosse WI in 2002. I started musky hunting about 15 years ago, doing a “musky trip” a few times a year. That was all with conventional fishing gear. A few years ago I received a couple of 8-weight fly rods from a friend during the winter. That winter I tied many pike flies and also learned that the flies I tied are too big to cast with the 8wt rods. I decided to purchase a 10wt rod and also use it for musky. As a first-time fly-fisherman I had many questions ranging from rod to flies. I would like to share my first-time musky-hunting with a fly experience and hope that it will answer your questions or get you to give it a try. It is much easier than you might think it is.

WISCONSIN VETS CAMP GUIDE PANEL

What started out in 2014 as a small dream for John Carlson of Ross's Sport Shop and Guide Service, and Joel Walczak of Rocky Point Tackle Co and Dave's Legacy Guide Service, has turned in to something very, very special.

To be able to reach out and say thank you to our Veterans by taking them fishing for a few days. Come hear about the first 8 years of the Wisconsin Veterans Fishing Camp, a whole lot of fishing stories, and what it would mean for you to nominate a Veteran for the Camp, or to come yourself as a Veteran.

John and Joel will also have a special guest speaker with them. JT Finch. A Veteran himself, who attended the Camp in year 3, and has now come back twice as a guest Guide to give back to his Brothers and Sisters.
